The Coupar Angus Horse Fair is backed and supported by experts from the equine world and with knowledge of native Scottish breeds. These are notes from my own area of interest dogs, more specificlly the Scottish Working Bearded Collie.

This is an article that starts to reconcile many areas. The evolution and ecology of the breed, in relation to it’s natural environment, changes in and the history of farming, geography, psychology and training.

“If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about” or variations on the phrase is used by some people to describe their feeling over criminal records checks or ID cards.

Though well meaning, this is a naivety born out of a lack of experience. What many people don’t realise is that police officers are permitted to access the Police National Computer and enter false data about a member of the public, without telling the person concern. Police Officers are allowed to access the PNC and quite simply give someone a made up criminal history.

Here is a real set of incident reports. As in real police paperwork, the incident reports not being real though. Just made up, fiction, a fantasy. The police access the PNC file false incident reports so later they can forge arrest and custody records. This allows them later to send police officers in to court and lie on oath. Give evidence of an arrest, that only ever existed in their imagination and the unlawful entries they make in the police computer system.

Look at the official police record first. Can you spot the falsifications? It might help if you have a calculator or a pen and paper.

Then read the chronological analysis for the result. Do you agree with it? The entire case is fictitious, just look at the numbers.

A Real Cheshire Police Log of Incident Reports

Assessment of the Police Log

This is an example from Crewe Police in Cheshire. It is part of a Trojan prosecution made up in it’s entirety by the police. A large scale project was being undertaken to verify UK flood models and if they were correct implement the prevention strategy.

Certain individuals and organisations had an interest in ensuring the flood models were not verified to ensure the UK would suffer catastrophic flooding. Crewe police agreed to forge an entire designer prosecution package to shut the project down.

Police officers are permitted to enter the Police National Computer and make false entries if it allows the conviction of innocent members of the public who have not committed any offence, not been arrested for any offence or charged with any offence.

It is possible for members of the public to approach a police officer and have them give another person a false criminal history if they want to make them lose their job or close their business etc. Or in this case ensure predicted flooding was not prevented.

My thanks to those who have been following the Tsunami story. First the UK Government did have a proposal to have a Tsunami early warning system in the 2001 competition to find the best use for the Millennium Dome London as part of a project to establish a global environmental management centre on the Greenwich site.

This was a reworking of a project presented and at the request of Crewe and Nantwich, to create a transition that would take the area from being a world leader in the railway industry to one on planetary environmental management.

Families have now been contacted with some of the evidence to show how the project was blocked or rejected.

The UK Government to be fair cannot and in fact do not deny they had plans for an early warning system which they rejected in favour of a casino and music venue idea at the Millennium Dome.

To generate income to fund a project to stop similar events occuring in the future and provide a means of explaining how the project was blocked and rejected. TV and film production companies are now being written to with an offer of the full documented story.

Post from Brossen 99 removed from Newsnight blog Sat 5th September 2009

It must now be clear to any political observers that Gordon Brown is the puppet of the Corporate Nazi stock market parasites. Likewise Alistair Darling ( nee Panda ) who would appear to be committed to the Corporate Nazi ideology of expanding and sustaining a virtual welfare state for the stock market parasites. Tough on alleged Incapacity Benefit cheats but no action to curb the embezzlement of billions by the ” socially useless ” section of financial markets as recently identified by Lord Turner. Darling is attempting to portray that a cap on bonuses will be avoided through higher basic salaries. The obvious solution is to heavily tax all derivatives trades, but with Obama scared of assassination the Corporate Nazi’s have him as their puppet also, so no chance of a global deal.

Of course it will be no better under the Tories despite the Osborne rhetoric on tougher city regulation. Perhaps its convenient to dump the FSA now that its head is no longer ” ideologically pure “, of course Boris has to object to a cap on bonuses as they are mostly in the interest of his main political sponsors. Farage’s response is typical of a party funded by the likes of hedge funds, meanwhile Vince cable is perhaps conveniently practicing the art of not being seen.

Surprise, surprise the man behind the new totally over the top CRB checks to allegedly protect British children is a Corporate Nazi American. Its just another expensive endless IT project ( welfare state for the stock market parasites ), and if the Tories have an ounce of integrity they will scrap the whole thing when elected

By Gordon Pye author of Corporate Nazi?

The gangofone goes on about the BNP being national socialist but has he checked out their post EU election policies recently. It would appear that they have sold out to the eco-fascists on environment policy, perhaps Griffin fancies his chances with the leader of the Greens. The rest of their policies are totally impractical and perhaps nothing at all to do with what JadedJean would prescribe. Like all elected politicians it would appear that the BNP have sold out to the Corporate Nazi cause. Perhaps its due to not being able to get a UK bank account, and despite alleged EU funding they are sending out begging letters to anyone they have contact details for.

One thing I have maintained in the NN blog is that political parties are all political parties, even the BNP and Greens. Should we expect anything else from them.

Guest writer Gordon Pye looks at part of the efficiency of transport

Back in the 1870s Francis William Webb was an excellent steam locomotive engineer, having been trained by and followed in the footsteps of John Ramsbottom, the man who invented the piston ring. He introduced some really good designs like the express 2-4-0 Precedent ( Jumbo ) class, of which ” Hardwicke ” survives in the NRM today. He also introduce a cheap goods locomotive with patent cast iron wheels ( 17 inch coal engine four foot five inch wheels ), with an 0-6-2 tank engine version, for mixed traffic his ” Cauliflower ” 18 inch cylinders and five foot two wheels. All the ” goods ” designs lasted until after the second world war, Hardwicke was preserved due to it achieving 67 Mph average between Crewe and Carlisle in the great race to the North. A coal tank also survives in preservation.

However, in the 1880s Webb got it into his head that if you could use the steam twice in a ” Compound ” you could theoretically save coal, so he produced the ” Experiment ” class. It had two relatively small outside high pressure cylinders with a massive single low pressure cylinder between the frames. They were not really a success as they would not run at speed due to the exhaust from the high pressure cylinder being restricted when the synchronized valve gear was notched up. They were technically a 2-4-0, but the driving wheels were not coupled, Webb affected to discern that this allowed for free running but examination of the design reveals that there was not space for coupling rods to pass the Joy valve gear on the outside cylinder which drove the rear axle. ( low pressure drove the front driving wheels ).

The next design the 2-2-2 ” Teutonic ” had a far larger boiler, and the inside valve gear was a slip eccentric so that the low pressure cylinder was always in full gear allowing a freer exhaust. They were considered a success but one could only manage 64 Mph from Euston to Crewe in the race to the north. There were also potential problems setting off after an engine had backed onto the train, the slip eccentric was in reverse so in theory when one set of driving wheels could slip forward with the other slipping backward.

By this time the operating department were beginning to question the economy of the new compounds, so Webb organized a test where one 2 cylinder simple 0-8-0 large goods engine was run alongside another boiler identical 3 cylinder compound 0-8-0 up from Crewe towards Stafford. One man decided just how much coal was shoveled into each firebox so the test was obviously rigged to favor the compound and not scientific at all. It was claimed that the compound saved 5% on coal, perhaps insufficient reward for complicating anything.

The next step was the 2-2-2-2 Greater Britain class, which having trailing wheels slipped very easily, they also had a pointless intermediate combustion chamber in the long boiler. Webb painted one white and sent it for exhibition in the USA, I believe it actually pulled trains over there but suspect that the Yanks were less than impressed. Webb also built 10 John Hick class 2-2-2-2’s with smaller wheels for north of Crewe which were also totally useless.

By the late 1890s the operating department were getting desperate for a locomotive capable of handling the increasingly heavy traffic. They frequently had to resort to double heading but there were just about enough ” Jumbo’s ” about. Webb’s answer was a four cylinder compound 4-4-0, yet despite earlier experience the high and low pressure valve gear was synchronized. The result was totally useless but it was not until 1903 that the staff plucked up enough courage to compel Webb to resign, then after Moon ( Webb’s best mate ) the general manager had also gone. Webb also produced a four cylinder mixed traffic 4-6-0, of which it was said reached its low maximum speed by the time the train had exited the platform. Just for a second getting back to the recycling aspect it was said that said 4-6-0’s used the driving wheels from withdrawn 1860’s Ramsbottom DX 0-6-0’s.

Whale the new CME rushed out a 4-4-0 the ” Precursor ” class based on the ” Cauliflower ” which managed to do the job, a 4-6-0 with slightly smaller wheels for north of Crewe was also introduced. Crew works had to work flat out to replace all the Webb follies but by 1910 all the new Whale designs were rendered obsolete with the advent of superheating.

It would appear that especially automotive engineering is in a similar position to Webb in the 1890s. My 2006 1000cc Kia is no better in fuel consumption or performance than my ” tweaked ” 1989 1000cc Metro, admittedly running on leaded petrol. Perhaps the greatest unnecessary modern polluter is air conditioning, out in Aussie in 1987-88 it was said that you needed a 1600 Toyota Corolla with air conditioning to get the same performance as a 1300 without it.

Don’t have AC on my Kia, no point in this country and all that complete bullshit they put out about driving with the window down causing a significant increase in fuel consumption doesn’t stand scrutiny. The whole vehicle aerodynamics quasi-religion is complete bollocks, in the late 1970s we were told to ignore it as negligible in any motion calculation.

A 1980s OU programme I watched several times outlined that all you need to do for aerodynamic stability is to round the corners off on a square van. My practical experience tends to bear this out, my Seddon Atki 400 with 265L RR Eagle and 13 foot 7 inch tautliner was a good education. It seemed to take you ages to accelerate upwards from 50, then at about 57 it was just like falling through an invisible wall and you were soon doing close to 70. Just like the OU programme said, a vehicle will build up its own streamlining as speed increases.

The above statement would appear to prove my and others practical experience that when the 56 Mph EU speed limiters were introduced for trucks fuel consumption actually went up in many cases. Fuel consumption of 38 tonne cement tankers running from Clitheroe to Coatbridge ( return empty ) went up from 9 Mpg to only 7 Mpg. Of course other factors than air resistance come into play like the now inability to store momentum running at hills, but apart from the Lune gorge at Lancaster little opportunity for this exists on the road north loaded.

In truth today’s high tech HGV’s are no more efficient than those of the 1980s, cost a fortune to manufacture and maintain and probably have a higher total carbon footprint per mile run overall. It must be time to get back to basic ” cheap ” vehicles using proven technology. Likewise trains, even a 1958 2000 hp English Electric Class 40 would pull an express eight coach train at 1 Mpg, no modern DMU can match that and the result is that passengers are crammed into 3 cars like sardines.

Of course if the politicians ( particularly the Tories in the 1950s ) had taken the advice of the engineers all our ” main ” railways would all be electrified by now. R.A. Riddles first CME of British Railways resigned in 1951 after warning the politicians that if they went down the diesel route they would never be able to afford mass electrification. Its just a pity we went down the 25 Kv AC route ( to save money for fewer substations and on lighter wire ), 1500V Dc could have offered benefits like simple regenerative braking.

It would appear that we are in a similar position to what Webb was in 1900, perhaps time to break open the eco-fascist driven political quasi-religion and reveal it for what it actually is. Some commentators point to the probability that Webb was suffering from some type of mental illness in his later years. Webb was 70 when forced to resign and only lived three years in retirement at Bournemouth until he died in 1906.

One of the things I have been campaigning for is the end of shipbuilding in the UK for warfare purposes.

The objective is to use the budgets and ship building capability to produce a fleet of vessels to clean up and manage the world’s oceans.

These will range from research and exploration to equipment for removing toxic waste dumped at sea. Hopefully before many of the containers break down and release poisons into the water itself.

Not only have we to protect the oceans from what we are doing now and in the future we need to clear up the legacy of past abuse before the consequences manifest.

This is part of our agenda to achieve global mutually assured survival.

This will support our manufacturing, engineering and research base in the UK and be of benefit to all and this planet. We believe there are enough weapons of death, we need an organisation for life.

My great uncle was a sea captain and his death certificate reads 1872 miles west of Vancouver BC.

See our executive summary to the Scottish Parliament April 2006

Development Strategy for Scotland

In February 2006 after looking at a back catalogue of our work, consultants at Perth Business Gateway asked if we could produce an executive summary of how to make Scotland the world’s first ecological superpower. The following consultation document was produced. At the beginning of April 2006 it was sent to every MSP at Holyrood.

Scotland: The World’s First Ecological Superpower

In 2007 the United Nations Environmental Programme will produce a report showing climate change is far worse than was original accepted. Some leading climatologists already believe that we have already passed a point of no return and the deaths of billions of people and the extinction of most of the planets animals and plants is now inevitable.

MP2 believes this Extinction Horizon (EH) is 2012, that is we have 6 years to ensure the viable diverse future of the planet in some form that resembles what we accept as normal over the last few thousand years. If we have not established a sustainable global system by that date then those forecasts will come true.

In order to contribute to a better and safer future for the Earth and all living things that are part of and live on the planet, MP2 is creating a strategy to be implemented that will make Scotland the worlds first ecological superpower. Scotland will adopt a position that will lead the planet into a stable and sustainable future.

This will ensure it’s survival and the rest of the planet which it is part of. The urgency and importance of this project can be comprehended most easily in that 5 billion deaths over a 6 year period is the equivalent of around 2.5 million deaths per day, or 2 days to eliminate Scotland. Each day of delay now will cost half of Scotland’s population per day after 2012.

The Commonwealth Games 2014

Glasgow’s bid for the 2014 Games is significant as it is the first major world event after the 2012 EH. 2014 is a point defining an emerging development trajectory of global sustainable transition.

Adam Smith is one of Scotland’s most influential philosophers. His Wealth of Nations

has development derived from the concept of empathy. Empathy with the planets ecological life support systems can drive Scotland to be the worlds first ecological superpower.

The Commonwealth

Of Nations

Games 2014

should be the worlds first organised event that is derived from working with, not against or at the expense of, the planets ecological life support systems.

Tourism is polluting. It is not possible to fly visitors and competitors to the Games, due to the damage it will cause. Air travel is expanding as one of the main contributors to climate change. By 2014 due to its consequences air travel will have to be banned apart from essential use, taxed prohibitively or will become the pariah of social unacceptability e.g. as drunk driving has been made or smoking in a public place will soon be.

Banning air travel to visit Scotland and the Games will be one drive in establishing Scotland as the world’s sustainable superpower. Ecologically driven development should permeate through the Games planning, organisational and implementational systems.

Shipbuilding

Provision will have to be made for the mass transit of people when air travel is banned or reduced. Scotland has a history of expertise in this industry. This expertise must be focused on designing and building a new generation fleet of ocean going vessels to replace air travel.

There are ideas and designs for modern wind and renewable powered vessels. Their production will create sustainable jobs in Scotland and make Scotland a major maritime force.

Oceanographic Research

Scotland has a history of such research. Though some of this derived from it’s whaling industry this was transposed into it’s construction of ice breaking vessels for exploration.

Only a small amount of knowledge is available on the oceans of the world. They are now being affected by climate change. Dissolving of CO2 in the water is causing acidification. This is reducing shelled animals ability to survive and destroying the coral reefs. What else?

The ocean currents are being disrupted by changing climate and the currents are changing climate. Reduction of oxygen capacity and alteration of nutrient cycles are affecting Scotland’s fishing industry. Seabird populations, part of Scottish tourism, are reducing through the decrease in the availability of food.

Scotland can become a global leader in oceanographic research not only to protect it’s own interest but as a consultancy service to the rest of the world. This will create jobs in oceanography, ecology, climatology and the technologies associated with such research.

Scotland is vulnerable to ocean change. If the North Atlantic Drift stops, Scotland could enter a minor ice age prior to its temperature rising to meet the global increase.

Oceanic Clean Ups

For many years the seas have been used as a dump for a range of materials including chemicals. The oceans are already under pressure from changing climate and over fishing. Any additional stress such as pollution could trigger marine meltdown and a collapse of the oceanographic system.

The dumped chemicals and other pollutants need removing from the oceans. Scotland has transferable skills and technologies from the oil industry which can provide this essential service.

All the oceans need cleaning up. Scotland has the potential to lead the world in the technology. RPV (Remote Piloted Vehicle) experience from submarine rescue is another example of technology transfer.

As this is a global service this will have to be funded from the World Bank etc.

Research and Applied Planetary Engineering

Scotland is not just people. It is snow capped mountains in winter, the animals and plants and everything that is part of the whole called Scotland.

Can Scotland still be what it is if it loses what it was?

Everything on the planet is connected and related to everything else. If penguins, polar bears, the large mammals of Africa and the great apes are all going to become extinct in the next few years, then Scotland looking at its own bio-diversity will protect them.

Putting the protection of the ecology of the planet as the first major development priority has the affect of flipping a global system that is chaotic and unstable; extinctions, famine, droughts, conflict, extreme weather events, terminal etc, into a sustainable evolving one with the effective use of resources in attaining desirable goals.

Scotland decides what the maximum diversity and stability of its ecosystems is. This gives the optimum climatic conditions e.g. range and average temperatures. The appropriate levels of atmospheric CO2 are derived to attain these conditions, then social and economic processes and strategies are devised to bring them about in the shortest time.

The cascade affect from establishing ecosystem protection, enhancement and diversity then flows through the entire eco-socio-economic system generating stable sustained development and evolution.

To ensure it’s own survival Scotland only trades with others from the basic priority of ecosystem protection.

Having established the fundamental project principles for global sustainability Scotland sets the lead. One planet one goal sets a common focus for co-operation.

All consideration of strategy, policy, planning, implementation or action begins with , how does this protect or enhance the ecological systems of the planet? More simply do you want to live or do you want to die?

Northern Tundra Alliance (NTA)

Scotland as part of the UK is part of the EU and NATO it is also part of the Commonwealth. There are various other organisations it is part of through the UK, the G8, the UN etc.

The most important group Scotland should be part of does not exist. Scotland is unique within the UK as, climate change apart, it nearly has a permanent snow line at altitude. The climatic climax at altitude gives it an affinity with other countries of northern latitudes.

Scotland needs to form a group with its biome partners Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Northern Russia and Alaska.

These are at risk of having their very essence altered by global warming. This temperate to cold belt up to the Arctic is essential to the survival of human society.

The climatic, meteorological, oceanic and nutrient cycling systems of the planet are driven by the temperature gradient between the equator and the Tundra regions. Once this gradient is lost the dynamism that powers the global biosphere disappears.

In the oceans nutrient cycles slow or stop. Productivity of the oceans decreases, fish stocks reduce or species become extinct. Weather patterns alter.

The maintenance of the viability of this region is far more important than an economic union. It is possible to survive without economic union. It is impossible without ecological viability.

Scotland must take a lead in establishing an organisation of countries linked with the preservation of the Tundra biome. This is crucial to Scotland’s and global sustainability.

Energy and Resources

From the research in knowing the amount of reduction in CO2 required to restore and protect the Scottish ecology the energy policy for Scotland can be derived. It is not a question of reducing emissions, or going carbon neutral it is going carbon negative. It is the simple question again do you want to live or do you want to die?

Projects have to be delivered quickly with minimal or negative environmental impact and social and economic systems adjusted to conform to carbon negativity.
